On August 1, 2024, the organizers of the IWACU2NIGHT concert announced that a second season is on the way, following the success of the first season held on December 1, 2023. IWACU2NIGHT is a unique event designed to bring together famous personalities from Banyamulenge across various fields, allowing them to connect with their fans through face-to-face conversations.
In an interview with CorridorReports, Muvunyi Steven, one of the event organizers and a journalist for the YouTube channel MM TV1, shared some exciting details: “While we haven’t announced the official date yet, we’ve released a notice to inform fans that the event is being prepared. This week, we are in discussions with potential participants, mainly comedians. I can specifically say that this time we will also have guests from outside, primarily Rwandan comedians.”
For now, the concert is set to take place in Nairobi, as usual. “Once we finalize our agreements with those we plan to collaborate with, we will announce the exact date of the concert,” added Muvunyi.
The IWACU2NIGHT concert is organized by Muvunyi Steven and Espoir, a journalist at Nayo Media. Reflecting on the previous event, it’s worth noting that the 2023 IWACU2NIGHT concert exceeded expectations, attracting a large audience, primarily Banyamulenge refugees in Kenya and their friends, especially those who speak Kinyarwanda.
